Anne Archer:
"This is without a doubt the best vacation of our lives! …There are a million things that thrilled us each and every minute - learning to fly fish!
…catching a fish!… tubing down the river!… hiking with Sue and Steve to beautiful Lake Fatty!… learning to water-ski!…pinball!… all the games and videos! But
most of all your very special company, the great fireside dinners and our great conversations. Debi and Mark, you are so special and give so much to your friends, it made
it a once in a lifetime experience…Thank you again for sharing Kootenai Lodge - this bit of Paradise with us." "Never have we been anywhere so beautiful and
peaceful … Kootenai Lodge will hold a special place in our hearts forever. It was an idyllic step into the past for me, time stopped for Terry and for Jeff, a coming of
age experience full of firsts."
Terry Jastrow:
"Few things bring more joy in life than to see your family having a fabulous time … our trip to Kootenai Lodge was a 10-strike … Anne and Jeff
loved the activity. I loved the inactivity! No phones, faxes, messages, TV, news, hassles … my idea of a real vacation. I felt like Huck Finn grown up with a wife and
son but the spirit was just the same. Congratulations and compliments on the extraordinary job done in creating this magical haven. It's Disneyland for all - the
"E" ticket and never any lines."

Jeff Jastrow, age 11:
"This is the greatest place in the world. Everything is fabulous. The rafting, fishing, hiking, water-skiing - especially fishing. I caught
a 24 inch Great Northwestern Pike."

Nick Meyer, age 9:
"My favorite vacation was the one my family and I took to Montana … It was a 40 acre private lodge that we had to ourselves. The lodge had a
main lodge, dining lodge, tons of cabins, workout room and an old barn and some of its features were two speedboats, three arcade pinball machines, bats in the barn and a
silver and gold monopoly game. After we unpacked we explored the lodge. It had a lake right next to it. It was foresty around the cabins but when you crossed a bridge
over a creek you could be in a 3 acre field of grass by the barn …. The two weeks for the past three summers is enough to keep me happy."
Julie Flynn:
You'll find them in the reflections
On tranquil Swan Lake
Or down at Mickey and Chuckie's
Before the cookies bake
A new chapter in life
Always begins here for me
Where the air is fresh
And my mind feels free
I clear out the past
And live for today
By letting the beauty of Kootenai Lodge
Send my troubles away ...
Wendy Drexler:
"I stepped outside this morning and realized this is where God lives … Once again I have the pleasure of Kootenai, its sights, its smells, its
true beauty. When I am here I don't want to leave, it calls me to a soul I very seldom see or won't see and I am always sad to leave because I know that there are so few
times I will feel this way."
Kendall Cross, age 4:
"Auntie Debi, I like you when you own this place."
Nancy Cross:
"Please, oh please, don't make us leave Kootenai. Of all your friends, we can say with conviction, We're not leaving, 'til served with an
eviction."
